About Us
At Clover, we believe every child deserves support that honors their unique strengths, challenges, and potential. Our practice provides personalized occupational therapy services in a calm, welcoming environment where families feel heard and supported.
Clover Pediatric Therapy was founded by Valerie Cavanagh, OTR/L, a licensed occupational therapist in Rhode Island. With experience supporting children and families across a variety of settings, Valerie brings a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to therapy that is rooted in connection, collaboration, and care.
As both a clinician and a mom, Valerie understands how overwhelming it can feel when your child faces developmental challenges or when familiar routines seem difficult to manage. Therapy at Clover is designed to meet families where they are — offering practical strategies, encouragement, and individualized plans that support real-life success at home, school, and beyond.
Our approach focuses on:
• Building foundational skills through play and meaningful activities
• Supporting functional participation in daily routines and activities
• Empowering parents with tools and education they can use every day
• Providing compassionate, judgment-free care and support
Clover is here to support your family with care and intention.
Why Clover?
A word from Valerie:
The clover is a symbol of growth, resilience, and care — values that are at the heart of Clover Pediatric Therapy.
As a mother of four children, a unique four-leaf clover reflects my own family and the daily reminder that every child develops in their own way, at their own pace. Just as no two clovers are exactly alike, no two children are the same, and each deserves individualized support that honors who they are.
By intentionally keeping the clinic small, every family receives unhurried sessions, consistent support, and guidance that carries into daily routines and home life. Parent education is central to our approach, ensuring therapy truly supports everyday life.
Our focus is on cultivating strong foundations through thoughtful, evidence-based care — supporting not just children, but the families who walk alongside them every day.
